Wow! Where in the world has this week gone? I had no idea that each day would be so full of activities; that I would barely have enough time to sleep, let alone blog. Here is a brief overview of our first week in Spain...
Friday, June 18: placement test. orientation. campus tour. trip to Carrefour (Spain's equivalent of WalMart). beach. youth vespers at church.
Sabbath, June 19: Church (communion). Sabbath School. Montanejos, a natural mineral spring in the mountains. swim. worship.
Sunday, June 20: sleep in. hike. picnic on the beach.
Monday, June 21: first day of class. welcome dinner with teachers. futbol game between Spain and Honduras.
Tuesday, June 22: class. study. beach.
Wednesday, June 23: tour of Sagunto. castle. Roman Theater. open air market. hike. celebrate festival of San Juan on the beach with all the residents of Sagunto until 1am. bonfire. marshmallows. jumping the waves at midnight. fireworks.

Friday, June 25: class. study. Carrefour. beach. vespers program by the Children's department at church.
Sabbath, June 26: Church. Sabbath School. waterfall. hike through tunnel. picnic.
Sunday, June 27: sleep in (finally!). homework. boat tour of underground cave system and river. exterminate wasp family from under bed.
So much to see. So much to do. So much to learn. I have a new favorite Bible promise for my six weeks in Spain: "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? . . . If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." Psalm 139:7,9,10
